Farewell my old friend. Coming out of biz school, you introduced me to my future wife, and arranged for my first job--all in one day. Forever grateful to know you. Peace to you and yours.

Lovely David – Everyone was better for knowing you. The only person I ever met who could juggle 3 conversations—policy, friendly, serious ones—and shine his light on those he cared about at the same time. We spent a short part of your journey here together. Grateful for knowing you, deeply, madly, loving you, I hope our spirits intertwine for a longer journey in another lifetime—we were quite a match. You are loved and never forgotten. I'll never forget you invented veggie wraps, you had wonderful, philosophical insights about life and politics, you cared about those who couldn't afford health care, you with a Chicago heart and soul, and I never did forget your loving arms and juicy kisses. Love, Lisa Morningfire

Dave will be missed as a great friend and a great person. He was always adventurous and generous. Always willing to share experiences, friendships, and knowledge. Always keeping in touch with our family and pals. Spent many days visiting with Dave around the country on my travels and shared some unique and crazy fun with him. He loved to have fun! Farewell friend...and thank you for the memories I have because of you!

David was a friend and so full of life. I have so many memories of David that bring a smile to my face- wearing a captain's outfit to the Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival, laughing at a concert last month where we accidentally ended up sitting together, at Ft. Lauderdale Film festival, on a boat showing his pictures of the Burning Man festival, and wearing his backwards baseball cap with a familiar camera around his neck and a boyish smile. I will miss you David.

I am so very sorry to learn of David's sudden passing. He was a breath of fresh air, an inspiration, sunshine in a bottle, and a beautiful spirit. We met this summer in London, my family and I saw David most days during his stay, whilst he captured the essence of London and the Olympics. We had a ball and have kept in touch ever since.
David you are a dear friend that will be sadly missed. Thank you for being you, for sharing, your words of wisdom and your smile, and for spreading your happiness across the world. May God continue to Bless you and carry you safely home. To David's family, I know that he loves you all very much, because he told me so. Please remember this alaways, especially at family gatherings which he enjoyed. God Bless you all.
