Dear Dr Chandler,
I met you and Debbie when we brought a tiny baby duck that we found separated from his mother. Debbie answered the door with a baby bottle in one hand and a baby raccoon in her arms. I felt like I met the wife of Noah. She was surrounded by animals needing attention and she handled it all with such ease. You came home while I was talking with Debbie. Your love and admiration for your wife impressed me as much as Debbie impressed me with her love of animals. I wondered if you were newly weds. Debbie laughed and told me the story of your meeting and falling in love. How blessed you both are to have lived a life filled with love and support for each other. Since that day, every time I see a raccoon I think of Debbie. And I always will.

Dear Dr. Chandler and Family,
We just heard tonight that Debbie had passed away two months ago. We're very sorry for your loss. What a beautiful, loving, compassionate lady. When we were desperate to relocate 6 feral cats, you and Debbie did not hesitate to offer your wonderful home. Debbie's warmth, understanding and love for animals will never be forgotten.
Your are in our thoughts and prayers; may you find comfort knowing Debbie has left a legacy.
Blessings to you.........

Dear Chandler Family,
We were so shocked to hear this news. It has been some time since we have talked..but please know that the Lewis Family has you all in our thoughts and prayers.
When I think of Debbie, I see her in her bedroom closet with a baby bird that she fed every two hours and kept under the heat lamp until it was old enough to be set free or the time she and Heidi and I were in the car on broward blvd...when she slammed on the breaks, got out of the car and grabbed a turtle out of the middle of the road...
She will be missed....

Dear Chandler Family,
I have never had the pleasure of meeting Debbie. I am a duty officer with Fla. Fish and Wildlife, so I have ""referred"" hundreds of people to her/Rascals concerning an injured/sick animal. It takes a VERY SPECIAL person with a HUGE HEART to care so deeply about saving our wildlife. Debbie was this person, but you already knew this. I am so sorry she was taken from you all much too soon.
