Dorothy Fisher Obituary

Fisher Fisher, Dorothy age 88, passed away with family by her side Thursday May 27, 2010 from renal failure due to type 2 diabetes at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville TN. She was born on February 25, 1922 in Camden NJ to Catherine Taggart and Robert McKee and moved to South Florida in 1953 where she lived until moving to Knoxville TN in 2008 to live with her Granddaughter and her family. She is survived by her sister Margaret Wescott, step daughters Norma Vollmar and Pamela Sass, son in laws Charles Vollmar, Joe Miller and Michael Sass, stepson Gene Fisher, daughter in law Janet Fisher, Grandchildren Michelle Tull, Steven Miller, Andrew Miller and Allison Miller, Great Granddaughters Kristy Tull and Leila Miller, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Ralph Fisher, daughter Carol Miller, sisters Florence and Catherine, brothers Robert, James and Thomas. She lived a very fulfilling life and was loved by all. The family gives special thanks to the staff and hospice at Park West Medical Center for providing her with comfort and dignity during her final weeks with us. As she wished there will be no memorial services. She wished that everyone in her life would simply remember her as she was and be comforted in the fact that she has gone to a better place with many beloved family and friends where we all one day will see her again.
