Retiring to Vero Beach in 2004, she and Walter enjoyed cruising the Caribbean/Panama Canal, traveling the US, Canada and Europe. They proudly attended and supported many of their grandchildren's academic events and athletic activities over the years. They were active members of the Lutheran Church of The Redeemer in Vero Beach. Gladys spent time reading and had a love for animals, especially cats of all sizes.
