I had the honor of teaching Greg for two years in high school. I watched his passion for football and his determination to excel in academics in order to fulfil his dreams of becoming a college athlete. Greg wouldn't even entertain doubt or negative words against that goal. He always said, "I will play in college, and one day I will be in the NFL." He was willing to do the work and to pay the price. Greg was respected by his teachers and his peers and exhibited the characteristics of a natural leader. I was devastated to hear of his death and am praying daily for his family and college teammates. The comments regarding Greg written by his college coaches reflect the determined and hard-working young man that he demonstrated in high school. I hope that his life continues to inspire young men and women with the message - never give up.

I pray that you know how much Greg loved his family, and all he wanted was to become an NFL Player.

To the family, this all too common occurrence has happened repeatedly and robbed so many of their happiness. I know this feeling as I experienced it in 2013. You will forever remain in my prayers. Find comfort in knowing that the One who gave life to all living creatures is certainly capable of restoring life to someone who has died. (Acts 17:24-25).
