I was very sorry to hear of Howie's passing. Although we are cousins, the last time I saw him was when he was barely in his teens. I have one sweet memory. My Aunt Evy invited me over to her place in Brooklyn to see Sharon and her baby Howard who was just a few months older than my daughter. He was a very sweet baby and from what I read about him on the memorial site, he turned out to be a remarkable man. Ben and I send our deepest condolences to Sharon and Bruce, Neil and his family. My mother, Bea has asked me to express her her deepest sympathy for your untimely loss. Susan (Gittler) Aizenman

It was shocking to learn of the untimely death of our cousin, Howie. We hope that good memories will bring Sharon, Bruce, Neil, Izzy, Gianna, and his grandmother, Evelyn, some comfort.

I did not know Howard, but I am a good friend of his brother Neil. Recently, I reconnected with Neil when he was in town caring for Howard. I am so terribly sorry for his loss. My heart goes out to his family.

My condolences to Sharon and family. Saw picture; he was a nice looking young man. Read messages from HLWW members.

Howard wasn't much for getting his picture taken. At a wedding he had no choice, especially as best man. This picture was taken on 28 August 2004 on Mt. Washington in Pittsburgh. His smile and attitude are unique and irreplaceable.
