Simon, Joel, 71, of Garden City, NY, formerly of Coral Springs, died Thursday May 20, 2010 in New York. He was the owner of Coral Springs Moving and Storage. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary. He was a Loving husband, father and grandfather. Survived by daughters Gerri Aucone and Maryann (George) Gowen; grandchildren Annmarie Aucone of Coral Springs, Erin, Maria and Courtney Gowen of Clearwater, FL; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was a decorated U.S. Veteran living with his partner Fran Pertusi in Garden City, New York. He will be missed by all who were part of his life as his memory will always be part of ours. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 24, 2010 at the KRAEER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 1655 UNIVERSITY DRIVE, CORAL SPRINGS, FLORIDA Mass of the Christian burial will be said at 10 a.m., Tuesday at St. Andrew Catholic Church followed by entombment at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
