Katherine Coopman Obituary

Coopman Coopman, Katherine (Kay) Elizabeth, 90, passed away on January 4, 2008. She moved to Hollywood, FL, from Eatontown, NJ in 1967. Kay is survived by her daughter, Barbara Conrad and son, Raymond Wolf; grandchildren, Lynda Barrie, Lance Kirkland, Brenna Wolf and Benjamin Wolf; and great-grandchildren, Reis Barrie, Lauren Kirkland and Heather Kielman. Born to Frances and Robert May on July 19, 1917 in Longbranch, NJ, Kay was the youngest of three siblings. Her sister, Barbara Lewitt and brother, Alex May have both predeceased her. After Kay's first husband, Warren Wolf, died in 1966, she married Art Coopman in 1969. Kay and Art enjoyed travel, going to the track and visiting family. Kay was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and longtime poll worker for Broward County elections. After Art died in 2000, Kay moved to Covenant Village of Florida in Plantation, FL. Kay was a sweet lady who enjoyed her bingo, good food and time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be held at Boyd's Family Funeral Home (954-983-6400), 1600 North University Dr., Pembroke Pines, FL 33024 on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 from 1pm to 2pm. Memorial service will follow.
