I didn't get to know Marilyn for very long, but I met an enthusiastic woman, loving life, happy and outward focused, like the other women in her family

Aunt Marilyn,
I love you more than words can express and I will miss you terribly. But I take solace in knowing that your life touched the lives of so many, including my own. Looking around the room at your memorial service I could see how much you were loved. But I will miss your smile and how it could light up the room; I will miss your laugh and how laughing made your eyes crinkle so small that they seemed nonexistent; I will miss our swapping of they latest good book that we read; I will miss our talks, about life, about politics, about love and happiness. Sadly your new beginning was not to be. But I will remain forever grateful that I was able to watch you blossom over the last 3 years. Harry made you happier than I had ever seen you and I am so glad that you found and enjoyed each other for the short time that you did. I love you so much.

Dear Marilyn;
Thank you for wonderful times fishing and cruising and singing old Jimmy Buffet songs. Thank you for great stories and great jokes and a smile that lit up any room. Thank you for a generous heart and a fine wit and keen mind. You were one in a million, you won't be forgotten.
Though we hadn't seen each other in quite a few years, it was enough knowing you were there in Florida, living, laughing and making the world a better place. You are missed, my friend.
With love,
Donna

Very fond and loving memories of Marilyn Spiegel abound as her PTA family gathered to say our farewells today. We cried, shared laughter and decided that she and Harry were flying high on an eternal journey.
Her sons, Brett, Sean and Dean gave eloquent talks and shared their love of their mother, Marilyn. She must have been so proud of the gentlemen she raised. Marilyn's sister, Susan, along with her son and daughter, recalled Marilyn and Harry, with warmth, love and disbelief.
RIP, Marilyn and Harry, fly,high!

Every time I knocked at your door asking for advice, you let me in, offered a cup of coffee and listened. Every time. When you talked about student advocacy, your eyes sparkled. You will always be in my heart.

Marilyn, my friend. Your work with and for the children and your sensitivity for and caring about their parents are beautiful and cherished legacies for all to aspire to. The integrity of your spirit, compassion within your heart, and dedication and love in your actions will forever be a marker of the true Woman of Valor that you are. Your light continues to shine in the smiles, touches, and random acts of kindness that was showered upon all that you met. Rest peacefully and in the comfort of knowing that you made a positive difference in this world during the short time you were here. Fondly and respectfully, Larry
