Mark Cohen Obituary

Mark L. Cohen of Coral Springs, Florida passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 17, 2023 at the age of 71 after a 15 year battle with cancer. He was born on March 11, 1952 in Worcester, Massachusetts. He was the loving son of Benjamin (Barney) and Frances Cohen who both predeceased him.

Mark received his BA from Rutgers University and a master's degree in accounting from Northeastern University. Mark and his wife Marsha, both CPAs, had their own successful CPA firm in Fort Lauderdale and worked together for over 25 years.

Mark was compassionate, sincere, friendly and selfless and was a lifelong New England sports fan. Mark was a doting son, devoted husband, loving father, wonderful brother, caring brother-in-law, special uncle and loyal friend. He will be dearly missed by all.

Mark is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years Marsha, loving sons Jordan and Ben (Nicole), his adored sister Ruthellen (Joe), his treasured niece Brooke (Lou) and grandnephew Sonny. He had a deep affection for his in-laws Lee Lereah, and her husband Jack who predeceased him, He is also survived by brothers-in-law Michael (Jeanne) and David (Carole) and his dear nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt and many friends.

Mark was laid to rest at Star of David Memorial Gardens in North Lauderdale, Florida. Contributions in Mark's memory may be made to Center for Great Apes www.centerforgreatapes.org and Leukemia And Lymphoma Society www.lls.org

Mark was Truly a Once in a Lifetime True Friend. He was the Kindest Caring Soul and gave so Generously of his Thoughts and Time. I Will very much Miss this Remarkable Soul. Rest In Peace Mark.
