Mary M. Kwitowski

Mary M. Kwitowski, 96, of Hollywood, FL, formerly of Glassport, PA died Friday June 30, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Stanley Kwitowski, sons Michael and David (Laura) Kwitowski, daughter Sharon (Scott) Mowry, grandchildren Samantha Mowry and Matthew Kwitowski, sisters Lucille Bojus and Loraine Rexford, also nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Ida Proto, and siblings, Theodore Proto, Amiel Proto and Theresa Whetzel. Mary was a member of Saint Bernadette Catholic Church in Hollywood, Florida. Mary was a long- time member of the McKeesport Art Group in McKeesport, PA where she won many ribbons for her artistic work. Mary loved to paint and draw using oils, watercolors, and charcoal. She enjoyed sewing and needlework and did her best to stay active by taking line and belly dancing classes. She was an avid collector of bone china teacups that she shared with friends and family when she hosted afternoon tea. A viewing will be held on Monday July 17th from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at Joseph A. Scarano Pines Memorial Chapel at 9000 Pines Blvd, Pembroke Pines, FL followed by a mass at 11:00 at Saint Bernadette Catholic Church. A burial will follow at the South Florida VA National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
