Norman Jonas

Jonas , Norman, born October 6, 1915, passed away peacefully at his residence in Hollywood, FL on May 1st, 2007. Norman was originally from New York and a graduate of New York University, and although he lived in South Florida for over fifty years, there was still a lot of "New Yorker" in him. He had an engaging, warm personality, a wonderful sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He loved good company and good food. Norman is survived by Janet, his beloved wife of 67 years; his children, Michael (Barbara), Peter (Donna) and Marc (Mary); as well as his grandchildren, Kevin (Erica), Steven (Tamara), Matthew, Cameron, Brian and Corey; and great- grandchildren, Dylan, Jared and Destiny. A private funeral was held Thursday, May 3rd, 2007 at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the David and Mary Alper Jewish Community Center, Danny Berry Baseball.
