Paul Cherry

Cherry, Paul Jeffrey, 45, passed away on October 26, 2007 while on a business trip in Hong Kong. Our beloved Paul is survived by his loving wife, Theresa and beautiful daughters, Julie Ann, 11 and Kristina, 8, of Davie; mother, Carol Cherry of Davie; father, Paul Cherry of Sunrise; sisters, Cynthia Nielsen, Linda Romaniello of Davie, and Carol Ann Cherry of Weston. Paul graduated from Monsignor Edward Pace High School in 1980. Upon graduation he attended college for a short period and was then drafted as a left-handed relief pitcher into the minor leagues where he spent the next nine years playing for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Detroit Tigers. Paul's truly magnetic personality and generous spirit will be missed by the countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews on both Paul's side of the family here in the US and Theresa's side of the family in Hong Kong and the Philippines, Paul also had many friends and business associates who loved and admired him dearly. He considered his employees in Hong Kong, New Jersey and Florida part of his family. Paul spent a great deal of his life helping people realize their personal and professional dreams by giving them the opportunity to work with him or by helping them go forward to pursue their own aspirations. Paul's death will leave a lasting void in all of our lives but his memory and the love that he shared so magnanimously will remain in all of our hearts forever. The family will receive friends from Sunday, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass Weston 371 NW 136 Ave Sunrise, FL 33325. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 11;00 AM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery.
