We were deeply saddened to learn that Pete has passed on. We prefer to think of him as we have, that he just moved away from Long Island.
Our family was truly fortunatr to have lived next door to Pete and his family for some ten years.
Pete was an ever cheerful, optimistic, helpful and most generous individual. We regretted his family moving away from Waters Edge. We will always remember Pete as an ideal neighbor and a very good friend.

Mr. Struzzieri's passing is definitely sad as I always thought of him as one of the most generous and friendly men that I had the pleasure of knowing. We moved into Harbor Circle in 1968 (next door to the Struzzieri family) and we always thoroughly enjoyed their company and hospitality. Amongst my most fond memories is Pete constantly reminding us to please use his speed boat and swimming pool any time we wanted to because he loved to share whatever he had. Our best to the Struzzieri family for their great loss as well as their good fortune to be part of his wonderful life of 91 years. He made so many of us around him feel honored to have known him.

I will always remember the wonderful times I had as a child at Uncle Petey's house on Long Island. I remember how he would always ask me to sing for him :) ... He reminded me so much of my Grandpa Anthony Struzzieri. The looked so much alike and both had the sweetest smiles. Although I haven't seen Uncle Pete in recent years, I often thought of him and Aunt Jackie. I will always smile when I think of him and wish Aunt Jackie and his children comfort during this sad time. With my deepest sympathy, Lisa (Judy & Emilio's daughter)

Sad as I am seeing that Pete has died, your notice in Newsday brought back many happy memories of the early days on Harbor Circle. In my mind Pete was the mayor. I'll always remember how he installed a small water fountain at the beach so that the children could take a drink. He had a smile and a hello for all who passed on their way to the beach. It was a pleasure to have know him.

Pat & Family,
I remember your father so well, and so fondly. He was larger then life, always so full of happiness and vitality. He will always be part of my Peach Lake memories. My heart is with you all.
