Renee, your Louisiana Cajun Family has just learned of your passing and are so shocked. We lost touch after our second Megayacht we worked with you on, and the fun times we all had in Miami. Never got to meet the love of your life, although you told us all about him. We treasure our many memories with you. The old cliche' is so true here: you were one of a kind! Brains, Beauty, and Heart, and with that a wonderful sense of Humor!!! What a combination! We send our condolences to your family and we will certainly now have another Angel in the Great Beyond! Love you. Jeanie

It seems like yesterday I talked to her for two hours on the phone. Have been out of the state and just found out?! I am so shocked as she and Steve were such warriors. I met her getting treatment and she became an instant friend. Her spirit was contagious and her beauty equal from the inside and out. She was a true Christian example and we were all blessed to know her. I text her two weeks ago and knew something was not right when she didn't respond. My heart goes out to her husband Steve who was her biggest fan and champion. Heaven is lucky to have her. My sincerest sympathies on a true loss to anyone who loved her ,meaning anyone who knew her.

I have just found out about Rene passing away. I am so shocked as I was working with her as late as April 2011 at Robb and Stuckey's. There was never a sign of any problem, discomfort or illness present. She was a wonderful high-spirited person and a very talented designer. Her brightness and smile will be missed, my heart goes to her husband Steve as this must be a difficult time. My love to you and your family! My prayers to Rene, Live now in peace with the angels. I never had the pleasure of meeting Rene, but my heart still goes out to Rene and her family. Cancer is a terrible disease and I just wanted to say that I am praying for Rene's family. Jennifer Hutson (friend of Kim Hedges)
