HILREY RANDOLPH
December 18, 2023
Roy Mackey and I met as 17-year-old Freshmen on the first day of room assignments at Tuskegee Institute in 1962. It was the beginning of a friendship that has lasted throughout the years.
Roy always demonstrated compassion and the necessity for discipline. He radiated commitment and motivated others with his outstanding intelligence and work ethic. In college, he exhibited superior academic as well as athletic abilities and was a fixture at Sunday chapel.
Mackey always took the time to do things right. I cried when I was told of his passing, and will forever be thankful for the love and friendship that our families continue to share.
