Please accept my sincere condolences. I will never forget this kind, smart, caring, very special woman who I've had the good fortune to know for most of my life! ( I was 13 the first time I met her!) We will all miss her very much. May her memory be a blessing.

It is with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Sadie from my father. She has been a stalwart figure in my entire family throughout my life. She was at our wedding and I have seen her since, at my own mother's funeral. A hard worker who never complained and always smiled. I worked at the Brookside as a lifeguard and she always walked back and forth to the hotel with hard work to do but never a complaint. Beloved by everyone, filled with wise words and an advocate for women and supportive of everything that was right. Despite losses of Whendi and Nate, she forged forward with beauty and grace. This world will miss her as well as I'm sure her family is experiencing right now. But so many fond memories and please know that there are not many people who have impacted others who now live throughout the world. She made a difference and her legacy will live on for many many years to come. The solace that I have is that she is now with my mother and they are enjoying their time together after a three-year separation.

I remember her as a bright and charming woman, as a friendly customer and as a wonderful mate to Nate. She made the world a better place.

Dearest Richard, Suzanne and family... I am so shocked to hear this news, as I had the opportunity to spend time with Sadie at Sue Cohen's birthday last year and she looked wonderful! I have fond memories of both Mom and Dad since attending day camp at the Brookside 60 years ago and growing up with the family in Kerhonkson.. My heartfelt condolences to all of you. Your mom was a gem!

Dear Richard,

I wanted to extend my condolences to you and your family. Thanks to Clifford Schoomaker, I learned about the passing of your mother Sadie.

I remember your mom as well as the Brookside Hotel with great fondness. You may not know this, but your mom actually wrote to me quite a while back when she obtained my email address and reminisced about my parents and our involvement in the Kerhonkson Synagogue. It was a lovely email and I wrote back to her expressing my appreciation for her kind words.

You were fortunate in having your mother for many years although this doesn't lessen the sadness of losing a parent. My dad died when I was 25 and my own mother died when I was 49. In fact, I just observed my father's yaertzeit this past Monday evening.

I truly hope that you will be comforted by the support you will receive from family and friends as well as by your memories and I am sorry that I won't be able to pay my respects or make a shiva call. You will be in my thoughts this Thursday.

May you be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Baruch Dayan Ha Emet - Blessed be the Righteous Judge.

Sincerely,

Arnold Weintraub
