David was a wonderful, sweet, talented and compassionate person. I met David in theatre and through our friend, Phil Perry. I, along with so many others, will always fondly remember his Mr. Cellophane! I am happy to have had the opportunity to know him and I will always treasure our friendship. He will be missed.

From the first time I saw David, skipping across the stage singing "Shapoopie", I was one of his biggest fans. His audience will miss him.

I met David through my association with Rick Simas and got to see David in many of the productions Rick directed. We then continued our association as we both worked for Steve Silver Productions. My favorite memory will always be "Mr Cellophane", he just nailed that number.

David was a wonderful friend who loved performing more than anything.
He will be missed by all those who knew him. We met in 1987 while he was doing Follies. He had a true gift for friendship.

David was a gifted and endearing musical theater performer. We did "Promises, Promises" and "Music Man" together. David loved performing, and the audience loved him right back. He was one of a kind, and will certainly be missed.

By association with my wife (Lesley Hamilton) I have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know David and am happy about that.
Those who read this will smile when thinking of David performing "Mr. Cellophane", "walk right by me see right thru me and never know my name", well, we knew David, liked him, laughed with him and you could never just walk right by him, he will be missed!

David was a caring and supportive friend. However, he loved the theatre and movies most of all. I directed him in five productions at the Chabot Performing Arts Center: Anything Goes (1987); Smile (1988); The Fantasticks (1990); Promises, Promises (1990); and Man with a Load of Mischief (1991). He also performed "Mr. Cellophane" at my Ph.D. Graduation Party at the Plush Room in 1993. Those who worked on shows with David will miss him very much.

David has come to so many of my shows over the last 13 years. He was very supportive. He always came bringing a gardenia or candy. I had dinner over at his house about two months ago and had a really good time. He always entertained me and made me laugh.
