Dear Shervin and Delaram- Dolly, Veer and Myself are very very saddened. As you know Shayan and Veer spent wonderful times when they were growing up and those memories are vivid in our minds. This is a tragedy well beyond anything any parent can imagine and we pray to God to give you both and your family courage and solace especially during this time and future. Shayan will always be a beautiful part of our lives and we shall cherish every moment spent with him. May his soul rest in eternal peace with God. Our deepest condolences. Aftab, Dolly and Veer.

Dear Mortazavi and Fatemi family and all the affected extended family and friends of shayan, I don't even know you, but this sad news came across the website of Persian American society of Tampa Bay. My heart goes to you and I ask God that he be with you to give you strength to withstand this tragedy. I can see throughout all the pictures how much he must have meant to you , all of you. Don't ask God "why?" Because he will not give you a reasonable answer. I am happy to have known about shayan. He shined a light of love in my heart when I saw his picture. I am convinced that He has done more than that for all those that have met him and known him in any which way through out his short life. He will continue on in all pure hearts who will remember him in years to come. And I will too. Please be strong and let God, hand in hand with shayan, guide you out of this deep sorrow. My prayers are with you all.
With my deepest condolences for your loss,
Dr. Sadaf Bazargan

Shervin, your passion was most seen when you spoke about your son Shayan. G-d traverses his garden, and picks the most beautiful flowers to bring him joy in his heavenly dominion. I never met Shayan, I wish I did. I am meeting him now in a way through those that knew him. May his soul be bound in love with his creator.
Till the day that all eternal souls will reunite in G-d's glory.

Shayan was so excited to be at Lynn University, his smile and energy was contagious. Although I only crossed paths with Shayan a couple of times in the library he will be missed and remembered.
