Sidney Dreier Obituary

Dreier, Sidney, 90, beloved husband of Mildred for 60 years. Loving father of Francine (Burtt), Marc, Mitchel (Nancy). Cherished grandfather of Julie, David, Spencer, Jackie, Katie and Benjamin. Born in Otynia, Poland in 1915, educated in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, to be a physisian, he arrived in America in 1939, a captain in the Polish Army, to work at the Polish pavillion of the World's Fair. WWII intervened and he remained in America, forging a career as an independent motion picture exhibitor, becoming known and respected throughout the industry. Services were held on Monday, June 19, at 2:15pm at Star of David Chapel, on Bailey Road in Tamarac, 954-722-9000. Family will receive visitors at the Dreier's home in Boca, Tuesday, 2 until 8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Hospice by the Sea, 1531 W. Palmetto Park Road, Boca Raton, FL 33486.
