Jimmie Dreier, age 89, passed away on March 26, 2026, at Regency Hospital in Oregon, Ohio. She was born on February 23, 1937, in Douglas, Georgia, to Jimmie and Alice (Rodgers) Cole. Jimmie graduated from Bradford County High School in Starke, Florida. She later met the love of her life, James Paul Dreier, and they were married on November 26, 1955, in Starke, Florida. Together, they shared 64 wonderful years of marriage and raised four children.
Jimmie cherished time spent with her family and especially enjoyed her winters in Florida. She had a passion for knitting, birdwatching, and caring for the many animals she loved throughout her life—especially her most recent cat, Blue. Jimmie’s family would like to recognize and thank her longtime friend, Nanci Shimman, for her love, support, and friendship over the years. They would also like to express their sincere appreciation for the care and compassion she received over the past two months from the doctors, nurses, and aides. She will be remembered for her warmth, devotion to her family, and the joy she brought to those around her.
Jimmie is survived by her children, Stephen (Denise) Dreier, Karen (Jerry) Eversman, and Joyce (Alex) DeGregorio; grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian), James (Adriene), and Nichole (Brad), and great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Harold. Preceding Jimmie in death are her parents, husband James, son, Richard Dreier, son-in-law Brad Nagy, and brother, Gary Cole.
