Ready, Terry Lee, passed away suddenly September 6, 2010 surrounded by his family and friends. Terry was born Sept. 7, 1945 in Warren, Ohio to the late Laura Jean and Robert Eugene Ready. He was a graduate of Florida Atlantic University. Terry's two great passions in life were his family and teaching. Terry worked for 42 years in the Broward County Schools system-first as a teacher, next as a guidance counselor, and then as an Assistant Principle. For the past 7 years he has continued his love of teaching as an elementary substitute teacher. Terry was a wonderful and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be deeply missed by so many. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patricia Ann; son, Robert Frank Ready; daughter, Sandra Ready-Ginn and her husband, Michael Ginn; brother, David and his wife, Linda Ready; his mother-in-law, Margaret Artman; and brother-in-law, Matthew Ermen; Aunt Nora and Uncle Eugene Tripp; aunts: Marion Ready, Jean Ready, and Thelma Beilsmith; and by many cousins. Terry is also survived by his grandson, Hunter Wallace Ginn, as well as several adoring nieces, nephews, and many special friends who will cherish his memories. A private family viewing will be held in the chapel of Forest Lawn South at 9 a.m. on Thursday, September 9. This will be followed at 9:30 a.m. for all of our friends. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. in the chapel followed by interment. Then please join the family as they have a Celebration of Life for Terry at the First United Methodist Church in Fort Lauderdale immediately following the service. I am praying for your family. May God bless and keep you now and forever. Mr Ready was my assistant principal when I attended Plantation High School. I graduated from college and had the privilege of working as a teacher as he served as the assistant principal at Piper High School. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to know him.

I knew Terry from my years at Piper. There are few administrators that I knew in my 36 years of teaching that I respected more. You'll be missed TR. RIP Bud Lindh, Fort Lauderdale,Florida

I am very thankful for the time and heartfelt moments Terry gave me as a transfer teacher to Plantation High. I was an alumnus coming home to teach and he was always there with encouragement and energy to help and assist. I had his children in class and will always remember the gratitude he showed me as a friend and a profesional. What a quality man in that day and age. No doubt the young people that have worked with him through the years have been enriched by his presences. I have, ---thank you Terry! George D. Snyder

I ran into him last year at Best Buy where I was working as a Comcast rep, I helped him find a CD Radio. He remembered me and before we parted ways, we shook hands. He was a great man, treated students as adults instead of kids, the school system will never see another like him. I always looked up to him. Rest in Peace, Mr. Ready.
