To my "Brother" and "Best Friend".
The moment that you died
my heart was torn into,
one side filled with heartache,
the other died with you.
I often lie awake at night,
when the world is fast asleep, and
take a walk down memory lane,
with tears upon me cheeks.
Remembering you is easy,
I do it everyday,
but missing you is heartache
that never goes away.
I hold you tightly within my heart
and there you will remain.
Until the joyous day arrives,
that we will meet again.
This month has been 5 years since you've been gone and I still struggle with your absence in my life.
I miss you everyday and my love for you is forever.
Your Sister

To My Little Brother,
Two years ago "Our" lives changed forever when we received "The Call" you know, the one that everyone dreads, the one that could only bring the worse possible news. Losing a sibling has been the most painful thing i've ever experienced in my life and nothing prior or since could ever compare to your absence in our everyday lives. I want you to know that there is not a day goes by I don't think of you, wanting to see your smile, wishing to hear your voice and hoping for just one more of those unforgettable hugs you were so good at giving. There are just no words good enough to express the sorrow we feel in your loss. You see Timmy, the day you died apart of each of us died with you forever and even though our family chain is broken our bond will remain strong because of you. I want you to know that I miss you like crazy and will love you for the rest of my life. Good bye for now until we see each other again. God bless you my dear,
Sister Kimmy

Dear Brother:
It's been two years since you've been gone. Although I tend not to talk much about you in front of our Siblings, they have no idea how I've missed you. I've always tried to be the stronger one, but inside my heart aches because of your absence. We know you will always be near but your lack of participation in family events and holidays still creates that feeling of emptiness.
We know you are in a better place, heaven must be amazing. Someday we will all be together again as a family.
In the meantime, I will try to work a little harder on keeping our family close, together for Christmas, Easter, etc. I still have "pictured" memories of you walking/running through the woods hunting for Easter eggs. The excitement on your face when you received a prize for getting one of the "prized eggs", was priceless. You sure enjoyed family, they mean't everything to you.
You are missed still to this day and will be forever missed. We love you dearly and can only hope that the feeling of your presence continues for years to come.
God bless little brother,
Sister, Sherri

Dear, Son:
It has been almost a year since our Lord called you home, but your "legacy" lives on in others. You have given continuous life to several Recipients--which today--are doing well. Your family are so proud, for you still continue to help others.
Mother sings your favorite songs throughout the day--which brings a smile to my face.
I know you are in a much better place.
You're our Angel...God bless,
Your Mother
Love that smile

To the Bastian Family:
I cannot find the words to express my condolences to all of you. And even if I could find the words, I'm sure they've all been said by now, and so I won't even try.
I will never forget how I met Tim. It was my first day at a new job and I was 18 years old. I stood outside with a small group of other new employees enjoying the sunny summer day, when all of a sudden this little Red Porsche came rambling into the parking lot with the radio blaring.
At first I was perturbed with the disruption, but then I thought to myself, "that's a really cool car." And when Tim stepped out and stood alongside me with the rest of the new people, I noticed something very peculiar: he seemed devoid of those awkward insecurities that most teenagers (including myself) typically exude at that age. He was polite & charming, and I immediately wanted to get to know him. And to this day, Tim is the only person I have ever known who owned a Porsche at 19.
Soon I would meet his sister Kim, and it wasn't long before Tim and I did indeed become good friends. We would eat our lunches together at work and sometime we would go out socially.
Tim seemed larger than life to me. He was a guy who had big dreams and big ideas, and wasn't afraid to take them seriously. And when you're in the presence of someone as charismatic as Tim, you can't help but be impressed; to gravitate to that kind of fearlessness. I wanted to learn how to be as bold and charismatic as he was. I had never known anyone like him before.
I'm not sure exactly how we lost touch. Summer jobs come & go, people move on to new chapters in their lives, but I never forgot about my friend Tim and I have tried through the years to find him and get back in touch.
Anyway, I want you, the Bastian family, to know that it was because of Tim that I learned how to dream at little bigger and to imagine bigger ideas for myself. It's partly because of Tim's influence at the impressionable age of 18, that I found my own measure of success. Tim stretched the boundaries of what I thought could be possible in my life, and I will always be grateful for that.
My most heartfelt condolences go out to all who had known and loved Tim.
And to Kim: I know it's been a very long time since we worked together at NNB, but it would mean a lot to me if we could get in touch. I would love to see a couple pictures. I think more people miss Tim than you know.

To My Beloved Son Timmy;
It has taken me a long time to find the word's to express the sorrow I feel at the very depth of my soul in the loss of my youngest son. Even though a mother should never have to know the pain of losing one of her children, I believe in my heart of heart's that God had other plan's for you and brought you home with that in mind. Son there is not a day that goes bye I don't think of all the wonderful memories of you and how those thought's bring a smile to my face. I
thank God everyday for the 40 year's he gave you to me and the faith to get through it. May our lord give you the peace and serenity you so deserve and bring us home one by one until were all together again. Everyday you've been gone my phone has rang from all those who love and miss you, each trying to fill the void left behind.
Thank you to the Holy Spirit for giving us the gift of experiencing what we have since you've been gone. I love and miss you so very much, god bless you.

We miss you so very much Timmy, a poem to you from all of us:
You were so handsome, so special indeed
and had the biggest smile of anyone i've seen.
You had big brown eye's that lit up your face and the kind of laugh that can't be replaced.
We have so many memories of time spent with you, which we'll keep close to our hearts, forever and a day or two.
We often wonder if your okay and ask god to please take the pain away.
God took you with grace and at the speed of light, he must have decided to bring you home that night.
Please know in your heart you'll forever be missed and each day and night we'll send you a kiss.
It's hard to believe you've been gone for 243 day's, it feel's like yesterday to me.
We all love and miss you like crazy, God bless you little brother.

The Ride-
Anyone who knew my Uncle Tim more than in just passing knows that he had one roller coaster of a life. The high points were greater than most people will ever experience, there were some very crazy and unexpected turns, and there were deep swinging lows. From borrowing his brother's berretta back in the 80s to run to the store only to return it wrecked after racing it, to tasering himself by accident in Almont, to actually owning a REAL lion that spent its recreational time chomping golf balls in half, to being "owner or co-owner" of who knows how many business ventures, Uncle Tim lived life his way. One thing that everyone can take from him is that he was never ever afraid to proudly be himself. Through doing nothing more than being who he knew he was inside he unknowingly was helping to push various boundries in our society and show a lot of people that normal is more than just living the status quo. Uncle Tim tried very hard to live life the way he felt he needed to and I think, and hope, that in many ways he experienced enough while he lived to say that he had a full life. He travelled, he loved, he laughed, he played, and he hurt. Regardless of where you met him along the ride he would greet you with a smile and ask you how you were doing and how you have been, not because it was necessary to do so, but because he genuinely cared. Uncle Tim always loved those around him and he always did his best to rise above the obstacles that life threw in front of him. As a son to two, a brother to five, an uncle to seven, and as a friend to everyone, he will be deeply missed. The ride, for the rest of us, can never possibly be the same now that his seat is empty.
Love and miss you Uncle Tim. I hope that you have peace where you are now.

To My Dearest Brother;
I love you with all my heart and miss your phone calls everyday. I miss hearing your voice but am trying to learn to listen to from within my heart.
Along with the wonderful person in which you are, you know what I miss the most, is you saying; "Okay Sweetheart, Lets Have a Cup Of Coffee Toegther". Now that your with all the angels, may they give you the "Peace and Serenity" you deserve and now that your an angel yourself, you should fit right in.
I wish I was up there with you but when that day comes, you can swoop down, grab my hand and bring me through those pearly gates with you.
We all miss you dearly and know someday we'll all be together again, as one 'Big Happy Family", which meant so very much to you.
"May God take you under his wings and protect you until we see each other again".

To My Brother Timmy who I wrote this for:
May the love and the power of thee angels guide and protect you, comfort and sustain you. As she flys down for you, her beauty flows as the wind blows through her white feathery satin wings and as she scoops you up in her beautiful wings, she flys away with you, her holding you as close and as gentle as a new born baby and as she carries you up through the gates of heaven and as the doors stand open, she hands you into the arms of our heavenly father, as he stands there waiting, our father is now holding you in his arms, he looks into your eyes and says,
"Welcome Home My Son", for home is where you belong. You have been picked as one of my chosen ones, you are now with me, home and free.
May God watch over you and the arms of the angels wrap around and keep you safe until we are all together again.
Your loving sister

Timothy was a very special and caring person. As you can see from the entries written here, we all agree that Timothy had a very big heart - I have never known anyone to be as kindhearted to complete strangers. He especially loved his family. I want to share this story: I was with him once when he called his mom and he asked her to sing him a song over the phone - I was sure no one would do that no matter how much they might love their child - I was wrong - you should have seen how Tim's face lite up as she sang to him as she shopped in a grocery store many miles away. He was so proud of the relationship he had with his mother. I can tell you this: It certainly touched my heart.

Sorry this is late, but I just found out. I went to school with Tim for many years and for awhile we rode the same bus. I will always remember Tim as a nice person. I do not think I ever heard a negative word about anyone come out of his mouth. My prayers are still with you and may the comfort of God and knowing that Tim is in heaven be a comfort to help you through.

My Dear Uncle Tim
It is tragic that such a lovely heart as yours has been taken from everyone that knew and loved you. As tragic as this has been for every one near and dear I choose to remember every thing positive and glowing about you and your love for this life. Your effortless and courageous acts of love, your unending spice for life, and your unbounded love for every one that was a part of your life are the memories I will always cherish. I remember when my sister and I were younger and hanging out with you, you were always hilarious to be around with your bright, energetic soul. Always kind, caring, and driven to make a difference in this life. You will be missed and will always keep that special place in all the lives you have touched. See you on the other side kid.
Love Your Niece
