Very sorry to hear of Val´s death. We did a house exchange (Hayling Island, England). Cookie and Val, such a lovely couple and their family were really lovely hosts.

VAL WAS A TREASURED FRIEND SINCE WE WERE IN 6TH GRADE. I HAVE BEEN A CLOSE FRIEND OF HIS WONDERFUL FAMILY FOR OVER 60 YEARS. HE TOUCHED EVERYONE'S HEART THAT WAS FORTUNATE TO KNOW HIM. VAL WAS A VERY SPECIAL AND UNIQUE MAN. HE LEAVES A BIG HOLE IN OUR WORLD WITH HIS PASSING. R.I.P. DEAR FRIEND. YOU WILL BE DEARLY MISSED. MAY GOD COMFORT COOKIE AND THE FAMILY AT THIS SAD TIME.
