Dear Jamie and Kim, I am so sad to hear the news of your mom's death last year. Last time we talked, I called her to say I was coming to Miami for a spec ed conference for UK. She already had plans for a Dept planning retreat.
I remember so many fun times and laughter. She was kind to me and lent me her cruise gown for my senior prom. She took me to her club and board meetings, gave me tips on the new culture of college as she was already graduated from BU. I was so proud of her when she started the after-school Apple program for Dade county teachers and grew and expanded her position to VP at the University. Good for her.
She was also the jokester. When your father and mom came to visit on weekends in Roslindale or my sister, Althea and I would take the train and go to Branfort for a week or so during the summer, we would always be laughing soon. We always seemed to have mashed potatoes in our mouths and your mom would get us laughing while we tried to swallow. Such weird things to remember at a time like this.
Your dad amd mom took me to NYC with their friends Marsha and Henry for my high school graduation gift. We toured the city and saw some wild sights especially in Greenwich Village. So I am proud of your mom's accompoishments and pleased she became a grandmother. Bet she loved that!
Hope you both are doing well and best wishes. I last saw you when you were in college. It was so many years ago.
Take care. Kathleen O'Malley ([email protected])

Ginny was like a grandmother to many people in OIT. I know she was loved by many people. Seeing the tears from friends and co-workers is a clear sign of how much she will be missed. I only wish I had a chance to have gotten to know her better. I hear that she has an incredible spirit. May you rest in peace.
