Cousin Bill was one of the kindest people I know. On the first day of my father's wake, my mother, my husband, my three daughters and myself were approaching the funeral parlor at 12:30pm - about one half hour before the wake was to begin. Suddenly from across the street I saw Bill running toward us. When he reached our side of the street, he said to my husband, "I thought you might need another man with you today". He then took my arm and the hand of one of my daughters and accompanied us all inside. He had driven all the way from Long Island, N.Y. to Fort Lee, N.J. and waited (I have no idea how long) for us to arrive. He told no one of his plan - just showed up and stayed with us for the entire afternoon. I have never forgotten, and will always be grateful for this wonderful act of kindness.

To Uncle Bill; Your laughter and love of life will always be a part of us. Thank you for the many memories, your generousity and your crazy, jokester, 'never grow up' or give up attitude! You took life by the horns and lived it to the fullest. You brought smiles to those around you and showed strength in the face of danger and hardship. We will miss you, but never forget our Unk.
