Brent Jack Blanchard

1955 - 2024

Brent Jack Blanchard, a man who loved his photography and movies, passed on Friday, November 15, 2024. He was 69 years old and was born in Big Spring, TX on July 5, 1955. He moved into Sterling Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in June 2024, and found a wonderful community of kind, loving individuals, who became family to him. Brent was a graduate of the Class of '73 at Sweetwater High School. He worked as a control room operator in several plants that produced electricity for 25 years and was a bus driver for Sweetwater Independent School District. Brent lived in Sweetwater, TX most of his life. Photography was his passion. He often photographed people at church, sporting events, the National WASP WWII Museum, his dogs, and nature. He was a movie fanatic and loved a good sci-fi or Marvel film. He loved his dogs immensely and they were a huge part of his life. Brent was a believer of Christ and a member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church, which meant the world to him.
Brent had a difficult life with lots of medical problems, but his sense of humor shined through and was upheld through the last days of his life. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and cousin to many family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pam and Jack Blanchard. He is survived by his sister, Jana Bentle of Sweetwater, TX, niece, Jordan Bentle of Sweetwater, TX, nephew Jace Bentle of Anna, TX, and great-nephew, Matthew Bentle of Anna, TX. We love you, Brent, and we are grateful for the memories and the time we had together. Fly high!
His service will be held at 11:00 am at Highland Heights United Methodist Church on Friday, November 22, 2024 with Rev. Larry Holder officiating. McCoy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Highland Heights United Methodist Church located on Lamar Street, or to the National WASP WWII Museum located on Avenger Field Road, both in Sweetwater, TX, 79556.
