Richard Mitchell Obituary

Rick was 67 when he was called home to be with our Lord. He passed away in the home of his loving son Donnye in Midland Texas on June 26 of 2025. Rick fought bravely against cancer for nine months. He was born on June 5, 1958 to Barbara Mitchell and George Mitchell in Searcy, Arkansas Rick Served in the army. He drove a truck for 40 years. Rick married the love of his life, Ruby Ann knight on May 29 of 1981. Together they had five children.
Ric enjoyed working with his hands. He loved wood crafting hunting with his traditional bow, going to church and spending time with his family at night. He would watch the stars with his large telescope. He could name and point out everything in the night sky.
Ric is survived by his sister, Amy Mitchell, his wife, Ruby Mitchell, his children, Jamie Jones, Donnye Mitchell, Jason Mitchell, and Jessica Siegel. 15 grand grandchildren, and one step grandson.
Ric is proceeded in death by his mom, Barbara Mitchell, dad George Mitchell and brother Michael Mitchell.
Celebration of life for Ric is to be announced at a later date.
