Carrie Speaker Obituary

Carrie Sue Speaker
Carrie Sue Phillips Gannon Speaker was called to her eternal home with Jesus on the afternoon of June 17, 2021, while in her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 19,1953 to Roy Booker Philips and Beulah Viola Griffin Phillips. Carrie Married Patrick Gannon on August 9, 1974, and later married Galen Speaker on September 2, 2020. Carrie was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Theo Bill Phillips and "JD" Joe Dakota Phillips, Sisters Betty Lou Phillips Abbott and Imogene Phillips Welling and 5 month 4 day old daughter Kendra Lyn. Carrie Sue loved the Lord Jesus, first and foremost, and sought to serve him in all her life pursuits. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother while always being present and rooting for them in their various life endeavors. These were a few of her favorite things: family, extended family reunions along with family history, friendship, music, crafting, quilting along with the simple beauty of nature.
These were some of her most endearing traits: Love, Faithfulness, and Passion. If you were her friend, you were a friend for life! She was one to persevere and never give up. If you were in a battle, you'd definitely want her on your side! She was a faithful prayer warrior for family, friends, and strangers.
Carrie Sue is survived by her husband, Galen Speaker of Alma Arkansas, ex-husband and father of her children, Patrick Gannon of Mountainburg Arkansas, her children, Kent Gannon and wife Kelly of Sherman Texas, Paige Kimbley and husband Robert of Rudy Arkansas, Starlette Accurso-Owens of Alma Arkansas. Galen's children, Tim Speaker of Enid Oklahoma, Kathy Tripp and husband George of Enid Oklahoma, David Speaker and wife Wendy of Enid Oklahoma, Jeremy Speaker of Enid Oklahoma, Bennie Speaker and Cassidy Gray of Moss Landing California, in addition to her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many beloved cousins. Family was her passion. Arrangements for Carrie have been entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel 4817 Kelley Hwy in Fort Smith. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 29th, 2021 at 2:00 at the funeral home. Online condolences and memories may be left at lewisfuneralchapel.net
