Ernest Shotzman
Ernest Wesley Shotzman, 92, passed away February 21, 2021 . He was born October 5, 1928 in Quenemo, Kansas the son of the late Jacob W. and Dora B. Shotzman. He was preceded two children, Donald A. Shotzman and Debra Ann Rhodes and his siblings, William J. Shotzman, Margaret L. Hudson, Willis L. Shotzman, Harold D. Shotzman, Charles Shotzman and Donna Bontrager. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mary Ann Shotzman and his children, Wesley Shotzman and wife Patty of Marshalltown, Iowa, Steve Shotzman and wife Melissa, Kelly Shotzman and Kevin Shotzman and wife Holly. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; one brother Garry Shotzman and wife Mary of Spring, Texas. Ernest loved to fish and hunt with his friends John Gramlich (Sonny) and Harold Steele. Graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday February 24, 2021 at U.S. National Cemetery officiated by his grandson, Reverend Steven Shotzman and Reverend Jimmy W. Cook. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Smith Mortuary, Charleston, Arkansas. A very special Thank You to Crawford County Health and Rehab in Van Buren and Heart of Hospice for their special care of Ernest. Arrangements under the direction of Smith Mortuary, Charleston, Arkansas.
