Freddie McConnell Obituary
Freddie Lee McConnell, of Harvey, passed from this life Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, in Harvey surrounded by his loving family. Freddie was born Dec. 17, 1944, in Harvey to Walter Lee McConnell and Ella Irene (Yandell) McConnell. He was 73 years, 10 months and three days old.
As a young man, Freddie met and married the love of his life, Ella Faye. Together they spent 53 years of love, devotion and raising a family. They had two children that made them proud and then they became grandparents and that was the life. Freddie worked and retired from Scott County Road Department. He enjoyed hunting but he treasured the time when he was around family.
Freddie leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 53 years, Ella Faye McConnell of the home; one daughter, Tammy Workman of Waldron; and one son, Jason McConnell of Harvey. Freddie will forever remain in the hearts of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Vanessa Norris, Marissa Workman, Levi McConnell, Jayden McConnell, Emilee McConnell, Kylie Norris and Levin Norris. He is also survived by one sister, Mary Bowden of Madison, Calif.; and two brothers, Stephen McConnell of Danville and Johnny McConnell of Sacramento, Calif. Freddie will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted including a host of extended family, friends, neighbors and loved ones dear to his heart.
Freddie was precdeded in death by his parents, Walter and Ella Irene McConnell, and two sisters.
Freddie's life celebration will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Harvey Assembly of God Church in Harvey with Brother Loise Moses officiating. Interment will follow at Monroe Cemetery in Harvey. Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron.
Freddie's pallbearers will be Junior Austin, Jimmy Dale Austin, Eddie Austin, Allen Austin, Gabriel Manning andTristan Manning.
