May 15,1956 - December 15, 2023
Charles Alan Yoho, age 67, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 15, after a sudden illness. Chuck, as he was known by most people, was a devoted husband and father who cherished time with family. He loved the Lord and his church families; the one at Floyd Church of God where he taught Sunday school, and those at the Floyd Parish UMC. He was always eager to help any church with their projects.
Chuck enjoyed gardening and construction, and actually built his own house. He owned and operated Buffalo Electric in Floyd Co. for 26 years. He was a hard worker who strived to do everything well. He loved to make people laugh, and he also spent his spare time doing jigsaw puzzles and reading the Bible. Chuck loved his dogs and was blessed to have many special companions throughout his life.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy; three sons: Matthew Yoho, Andy Yoho, and Kevin (Chasity) Yoho; nine grandchildren: Taylor, Brittany, Ariel, Ethan, Drew, Brandon, and Kayley Yoho, and Lydia and Michael Bryan, two step-grandchildren: Morgan (Cody) Quesenberry and Zach Weddle; five great grandchildren: Ella, Elaina, Jaxon, Jacob, and Lainey, and two step-great grandchildren: Collins and Hollis. He is also survived by two sisters: Jennifer (Gary) Clute and Karen Mullooly; two brothers: Jeff Yoho and Chris Yoho; a sister-in-law Debbie (Doug) Kay, a brother-in-law Buck Vaughan, and a large extended family.
The family will receive friends on Sun. Dec. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gardner's Funeral Home in Floyd. Funeral service will be on Mon. Dec. 18 at 11 a.m. at Floyd Church of God, with burial at Huffville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Floyd Church of God, 122 Floyd Hwy S., Floyd, VA.
