Cynthia Gravley

Cynthia Kay "Cindy" King Gravley, age 65, passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2025. She was born on September 26, 1960 to her parents Virgil and Elizabeth King of Wytheville.
Cindy attended George Wythe High School and furthered her education while attending college in Georgia. She was employed with Hutchinson Industries as a Lead Technical Drafter before her retirement.
Cindy was a loving and devoted wife, a warm and tender mother and grandmother, caring sister and considerate friend.
She had a heart filled with compassion and cherished her family and friends. Cindy loved music, the outdoors, and collecting her unique rocks. She was a very doting person who was always kind and a smile that would light up any situation. She never met a stranger. Cindy will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Elizabeth King; one brother, Daniel "Redman" King; and one sister, Dale Gallimore.
She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Cecil Gravley, of the home; two daughters, Melanie Hudson(Keith Babcock) and Elizabeth Walker, both of Wytheville, Va.; one son, Zachary Nichols of Rural Retreat, Va.; three brothers, Ronald King, Fred King, both of of Wytheville, Va., and Tommy King of Welcome, N.C.; three sisters, Sheila Harris, Carolyn Cameron, both of Wytheville, Va., and Annette King of Rome, Ga.; two grandsons, Trey & Jasmine, and Drake & Kassandra; many nieces and nephews also survive.
Cindy's Celebration of Life will begin on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 6 to 7 p.m. for visitation at Barnett Funeral Home. Her service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Barnett Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen Umberger officiating. She will be laid for her eternal rest at the Stoney Fork Community Church Cemetery.
The family would like to thank everyone for the generosity of love and kindness shown to each during this difficult time. Please continue the prayers and support for the upcoming days ahead.
