James Beavers Obituary
May 31, 1935 - October 29, 2025
James Riley Beavers, age 90, of West Milton, OH, passed away on October 29, 2025, at Hospice of Dayton. He was born May 31, 1935, in Bandy, VA, to the late James Otis and Erma (Odell) Beavers.
James is survived by his children, Karen (Daniel) Stir, Dale (Brenda) Beavers, Wendy (Randy) Hine and Dr. Jill Beavers-Kirby (James); grandchildren, Peter (Andrea) Stir, Joshua (Aimee) Stir, Lieutenant Matthew (Amber) Beavers, Alex (Rachel) Hine, Robert Hine, Attorney Samuel (Tracy) Beavers; great grandchildren, Paris, Annalynn, Jacob, Emma, Caitlyn, Sophia and William Stir, Blakely Beavers, Nora Hine and Riley Beavers. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Joann (Harrison) Beavers; and brothers, William and Lon Beavers.
James retired as a Parks and Recreation Director for the City of Dayton after 27 years. He then moved to Virginia, where he was a Real Estate Broker. James returned to Ohio to be closer to his family. He was an avid deer hunter and a hunter safety instructor with ODNR.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Baird Funeral Home in Troy. Burial will follow in Warner Cemetery, Clayton, OH. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio's Hospice.
