MARION, Va.
Kathleen Coe Powers, age 87, went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2022, at the Valley Healthcare Center in Chilhowie, Va.
Kathleen was born in Grayson County, on July 21, 1935, to the late Arlie and Levon Stamper Coe. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Carson Powers; a brother, Jimmy Coe; and great-grandson, Carson Bailey Jones.
Kathleen was a Godly woman that put God and her family above all else. She was a faithful member of the Seven Mile Ford Church of Nazarene, and then the Marion Church of Nazarene. Kathleen retired from Wells Fargo and the Bank of Marion after many years of service.
She is survived by her son, Michael L. Powers and wife, Theresa; her daughter, Patty Orvik and husband, Rick; sister, Susie Shumate; brother, Bobby Coe and wife, Betty; grandchildren, Stephanie Powers, John Jones, and Jason Powers and girlfriend, Cheyenna; step grandchildren, Jodie Orvik and fiancé, Jared Blevins, and Gerred Orvik; great-grandchildren, Anna Powers, Hayley Powers, Keiana Jones and fiancé, Travis Doane, Cayden Powers, and Janell Jones; step great-grandchildren, Braxton Roberts, Layla Roberts, Ryan and Lorianna Orvik; several nieces, nephews, to include special niece, Kathy Raible; and special friends, Leiann, JoAnn, Leota, and Jane.
The family would like to express a special Thanks to the staff at Valley Healthcare Center.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2022, from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion, with the Rev. Paul Shallenburg and thr Rev. Mike Halsey officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Rose Lawn Cemetery. Mike, Patty, Susie and family. We are so sorry to hear about Kathleen's passing. Known most of the family all my life. I used to run into her at and Arby's and Walgreens.
