William Turman Obituary
William "Bill" Gary Turman, 75, of Indian Valley, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Lydia Howell Turman; grandsons, Daniel Joseph Turman and Anthony Shane Vest; brother and sister-in-law, Archie Wayne and Edna Turman; sister and brother-in-law, Lois Jean and Paul Edwards.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Etheleen Anne Turman; sons, Gary William Turman (Elizabeth Holland) and Danny Joe Turman (Kimberly); daughter, Sonia Turman Vest (Robert); grandchildren, Addison S. Vest, Joshua Kohlenberg, Brittney MacDougall, Lauren Turman, Olivia Turman, and Emma Turman; great-grandchildren, Hunter Kohlenberg, Lukas MacDougall, and Keegan Turman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Richard Thomas, Kathy and Kenneth Huff, and Diane and Charlie Stultz; and his faithful fur companion, Rusty.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in the Turman/Cruise Cemetery with Military Rites by The Army National Guard and Grover King VFW Post# 1115. The family received friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Disabled American Veterans.
