Ada Ruth Nicholas

Ada Ruth Nicholas, 95, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015. The service was Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Braney, GA.

A native of Alabama, she had lived in Georgia and in Tallahassee since 1969. She was a charter member of Lake Jackson United Methodist Church and also was a foster parent for many years in Moltrie, GA.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Snook of Tallahassee; two granddaughters, Patti Hyre (Mark) of York, S.C. and Heidi Logue (Michael) of Cairo, GA; a sister, Mava Dean Skelton of Wichita Falls, TX; five great-granddaughters: Brittney and Linsey O'Brien, Madison Logue, Grace Hyre, and Sara Logue.

Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, FL 32308 or Lake Jackson United Methodist Church in Tallahassee.

Independent Funeral Home (850-875-1529) was handling arrangements.
