Al, Carolyn, Karen and Janetta: I am glad I was able to share in the celebration of Amiri's life. Yes, he was "my boy" and I will miss. There are so many symbols in all that has occured since last Sunday and when we're all stronger, I will share them. It is true that God will be your very present help now! I also want Karen and Janetta to know that I sat where they sat on Saturday four years ago. I know that peace will come to you all, but it will take time. Take all of the time that you need and rely on others to support you in every way needed. Know that God loves you and I do too!

Al, even though I wasn't fortunate enough to know your son, knowing he was a "chip off the ole block" he was a fine young man. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May pleasant memories and knowing that if God brings you to it, He will bring you through it help to ease your sorrow.
