Belinda Cox

Tallahassee - Belinda E. Cox, 67, of Tallahassee, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018, while surrounded by her loving family and many dear friends.

A daughter of the late Gordon W. Beal and Frances Wilhoite Beal, she was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 1, 1950. She worked for the State of Florida as an administrator. A faithful member of Authentic Life Church, she enjoyed going to the beach and to the mountains, cooking, and most importantly, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, James (Tonya) Montague, David (Betsy) Gay, Matthew (Leann) Gay and Tammy Durrance; grandchildren, Amy (Matthew) Mayo, Michael (Teale) Montague, Erica (Fred) Kearse, Brittany Chaires (Cody Massa), Jordan (Megan) Montague, Andrew (Felicia) Parks, Taylor (Luke) Moyer, Tiffany (Andrew) Miller, Leanna (Cole) Pearson, Bradley Gay, Reagan Gay, Rainey Gay, Cole Brewer, Rachel Langston and Bryce Gay; great-grandchildren, Adyson Mayo, Adyn Mayo, Karsyn Kearse, Landyn Kearse, Cason Parks, Brendan Montague, Aaliyah Miller, Zoie Miller, Brayden Montague, Joey Weiss, Chloe Weiss, Cayden Jones and Cadence Langston. Also surviving are her brothers, Gordon (Tracey) Beal and Gene Beal; as well a former son-in-law, Eric Parks.

The funeral is 2:00 PM, Monday, June 18, 2018, at Abbey Funeral Home, with interment following at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Authentic Life Church. Belinda was a special lady and great friend. She had a heart of gold and always found good in everyone. I have a lot of good memories that I will cherish forever. She was like a sister to me. I know she will be watching over all of us. I will miss her.
