Charles Wollschlager Obituary
Dr. Charles Phillip Wollschlager, 80, passed away on October 7, 2011 in Tallahassee, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce Pannell Wollschlager.
Dr. Wollschlager graduated from Emory Dental School in 1955 at the age of 24 and served as a dentist in the U. S. Public Health Service 1955-1957. He then opened a private dental practice in Tallahassee in 1958 into which he welcomed his son in1995. His son continues today the legacy his dad began. He was a charter member of the Tallahassee 100 Club. Active in the ministry as well, he was a charter member of Killearn United Methodist Church where he served as lay minister for seven years. He also participated in the Bill Glass and Cecil Williams Ministries helping to spread the gospel worldwide. After retiring from the practice of dentistry in 1997 he became a master chef and was well known for his abilities on the grill. Dr. Wollschlager enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. We were very blessed to have him lead us as a family and leave such a wonderful legacy for us to follow. Survivors include three children, Evelyn Haney(Locke) of Tallahassee; Dr. Tom Wollschlager(Teresa) of Crawfordville; and Anne Finaldi of Tallahassee; eight grandchildren, Phillip Locke Haney(Joannie); Erin Clark(Dale); Matthew Locke Haney(Sarah); Thomas Locke Haney; Warren Phillip Wollschlager; Mandy Ferrell(Scott); Joyce Finaldi; and Jordan Anne Finaldi; and four great-grandchildren, Meagan Evelyn Clark; Phillip Luke Haney; Laila Ferrell; and Madalyn Ferrell.
In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Phil Wollschlager, DDS Scholarship Fund for the University of Florida Dental School in care of Total Care Dental at 2167 Crawfordville Hwy., Crawfordville, FL 32327.
The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday evening at Bevis Funeral Home(850.385.2193). The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, October 11 at Killearn United Methodist Church. The burial will immediately follow at MeadowWood Memorial Park on Timberlane Rd.

"Dr. Phil" took wonderful care of me from 1966 till his retirement. On the rare visits to the "other" side of the hall at his office, he helped me to relax with his good humor. I knew from experience that he would never hurt me. Now Dr. Tom takes care of me, carrying on in his father's footsteps - what a great example to follow.

Dear Joyce and family,
Dan and I are so very saddened to learn of the loss of "Dr. Phil". We were very blessed to have had his dental care for our entire family for over 35 yrs. He was always very jovial and compassionate and had a wonderful welcoming smile. I know he will be greatly missed and we offer up our prayers and deepest sympathy.
