Connie Brady Obituary

1940-2010
Connie Church Brady died in Seagrove Beach, Florida at her home on Thursday, Oct. 28th, 2010. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Church, her father, Al C. Church, her stepfather Colonel Mark C. Bane, her wonderful grandmother Andy Vann, and favorite aunt, Lois Stutts.

She is survived by her wonderful, supportive and loving husband, Mark Brady, her sister, Betty Church and Betty's husband Newell Wright, loving cousins and their families, and lifelong friends and new friends.

Connie was a 4th generation Floridian, born in Ocala, Florida and grew up in Tallahassee, Florida. She graduated from Leon High School in 1958 and from FSU (1963) and with a master's degree in library science. She was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority and The Junior League of Tallahassee.

She was deeply loved by those close to her. She and her husband, Mark, finally found in each other later in life, the other person whom they had needed all their lives. They blended and bonded perfectly and absolutely through every aspect of their lives. No significant or intimate thought, act or event was left unshared. They adored in each other, the characteristics and traits of the other as those elements blossomed and prospered between them. He loved her to her very soul and spirit and will always.
She was deeply loved by her sister, Betty. The two shared fondly their life experiences all their life together. Connie had many friends with whom she was very close and in frequent contact. Long standing bonds between them were a major part of her life.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date in Tallahassee, Florida. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite animal welfare refuge or charity.

McLaughlin Funeral Home, Fort Walton Beach, Florida is serving the family, and expressions of sympathy may be submitted or viewed on line at www.mclaughlinmortuary.com .

Connie had such a "good soul," it showed in the way she carried herself and how she treated others. If she could have bottled some of it and left it with us, we would be better people, especially in this season of our lives in 2020. Her light still shines in my heart and mind. Thank you!

Connie was the most generous, giving person I've had the privlege to meet. She was a true "Southern Belle".
I'm a better person from knowing her. She'll always been in my heart.
Mark, Betty and family we're thinking of you .

My condolences to the family. Connie is surely smiling down on us now...I worked with her brieftly. Connie was as mentioned a "Bright Light". When I worked with her, on occassion she left flowers on her co-workers desks, which was only a testament to her character and reflected how much she cared about others. Connie was a beautiful person inside and outside. My prayers are with you.

My deepest condolences to Connie's family. Several years ago I had the pleasure and priveledge to work with both Connie and Mark here in Washington, DC. Connie and Mark were so smitten with each other and it showed to anyone who had an opportunity to be around them. I was so happy for them when they moved to Florida. I will always remember Connie as a very refined, elegant, and classy woman (with her Floridian ways) who I respected dearly and enjoyed being around. Mark, Connie is in my prayers. God bless you Connie.

My heart goes out to Mark and to their family. What a huge loss this is. Connie was a wonderful person - an angel on earth. This is very sad news. May all the pleasant memories of this wonderful soul help to fill the emptiness you feel in her loss and, even if just for a moment, bring a smile to your face. Lea Gray

I was so surprised to hear about Connie's death. I had long talks with her at both our 40th and 50th High School reunions. We reminded each other that we had our first dates together back in grammar school. I will certainly miss her and think of her often.

Connie's family and close friends, My thoughts are with you at this very sad time of Connie's death. Connie was a bright and friendly classmate, and I always enjoyed our contacts during high school years. In later years I enjoyed reading in our reunion books her interesting accounts, including her humor, of ongoing activities. I remember being impressed with how elegant she appeared in our brief visit at our 40th class reunion. She will be greatly missed, and I hope that your memories of her will be of some comfort. Sincerely, Diana (Hood) Gendron
