To the Family, Friends, and Associates of Conrad "Randy" Lyndell Austin,

Conrad Austin was truly MY FRIEND, yet he was so much more. He was a true example of "love in action" while here on earth. In fact, his life was really "Christ-like" in so many ways: His time here was short; he touched many hearts and lives while he was here; and he was my UNCONDITIONAL friend, just like Jesus.

He was, as his name states, a "bold, wise counselor" to me. He was a friend who kept me out of trouble (or at least he tried). Rad was not perfect, but he was available. Whenever, I came to him with a problem or situation, he listened with a sincere heart, but he never passed judgement on me. He just listened to what I had to say, spoke his mind on the subject, asked me what I was going to do, and then he would ALWAYS say "Dawg, I'm wit you."

The night before Rad was laid to rest, I read that "a star can be a simple reminder of God's presence in times of difficulty," and that "even a small light can pierce the darkness." I miss my friend, (My Dawg), and right now every day is a time of difficulty. But now every time I look up and see a star, I think about the star that pointed the wise men to Jesus, and my wise friend, whose life may be over, but his light is still shining in the night and giving wise counsel. I miss you Rad, Your Friend, Hawk

Donna,

your life and love is a wonderful testimony to what God has in store for us if we follow his will. God only takes what he can use; a willing, submisive, and faithful "servant". To fully appreciate the wonder of God look at the destuctive nature of fire but when all the underbrush has been removed life uninhibited begins. God Bless and stay faithful. Walk worthy for your sons (Na'm, Conrad Jr. and Montrel)

TO: MA DOT & THE FAMILY

It has truly been a blessing to have known you and your children, especially your son: Conrad "rad" Austin. I can tell you without a doubt that he has always been special in my life. He was such a gentleman, such a beautiful, laughing, joy-filled person. What a pleasure to have known someone for so long and remain friends NO MATTER WHAT. My love, and prayers are with you at this time and the time when others have forgotton. Today they lay my friend's body to rest, but his soul is already with God. Today, due to living so far away, my time will be spent at ll:00 planting a garden in my yard in his memory. I hope the poem sent earlier will bring a bit of joy to you. Ma Dot...I know this is a trying time at this moment. Hang in there, because there's nothing like having peace for a job well done...you have done a well job. Thanks for birthing a beautiful person like your son...RANDY. I love you ALL.

LOVE PEACE JOY AND HAPPINESS, ANDREA

To Donna & family,

I send my love, prayers, flowers, to show appreciation of a dear friend, that we all loved. THANKS DONNA FOR THE GIFT YOU GAVE ME OF OUR LAST TALK :)What a blessing it has been to me. He is a unique one, a rare find, a gem of a person. As soon as I received the news of his rising, I was pulled to create this poem, it's as if he was writing it:

A SPARKLE IN THE SKY

It's 6:30 (Sunday pm), and I'm gone. I just hit the clouds heaven bound.

The sky is at dusk, all blue and clear. It's a beautiful feeling...to him I'm near.

This was such a journey, and now I feel still...high...free...I know others I leave behind will not understand...the drift...the sleep...they only see, me lie.

The Lord knoweth, he's always sure---of those he send and those he lend...I am a lend---sent here only to be one to teach. I've not always understood my path---but I now know it's no more troubled, or stumbled, or lost...hear my preach:

---I am a trump card that has jumped out to be used to show others that sometime you are used early in the game just to show others that you are there to win.

...I have won...

It's a full moon and I now sleep. The sky is bright, full of darkness, I just splashed as a twinkle in the sky...

...I'm sparkling free---beyond anyone's understanding---and I now sit upon my Lord's knee.

Inner peace produces outward confidence in the face of negative circumstances so that we can go forward in the assurance that even though tribulation is coming against us, we are more than conquerors over it! God's peace is inward and spiritual and never predicated by contrary circumstances or negative events. Transition is always uncomfortable and appears to last forever. We are told to ENDURE unto the end, Matthew 24:13. Remember, nothing never comes to last, it only comes to pass! May you and your family find peace and God speed as you go through this time.
