Minister Curtis Scott, 59, peacefully passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017. He is survived by his daughter, Dr. Latrecha Scott; sons, Elboya Thomas, Christopher Gavin; sister, Wanda Daniels; brother, Roland Scott; devoted aunt, Lillie Scott. Homegoing service will be Monday, June 5, 2017 at Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church 11 A.M., Eulogy by Elder Terry Price, Pastor, with burial at Southside Cemetery.

I will never forget the fun times we had together as kids. We played, laugh, and even sung in the youth church choir together. You also was the best man at my wedding. Thank you Curtis for always making me laugh and putting a smile on my face. RIP my friend. You will be miss.

In the Male Chorus we simply called him Scott. He had a big heart and was a very humble person. I am saddened to know that he is not with us any more. He will be missed not just by church members, but in the community as well.

Curtis was my best friend growing up I wish we had stayed in contact with each other. We never had an argument in all the years we knew each other from us playing sports and singing, dancing imitating our favorite groups. Rip my friend I will miss you
