I would like to offer my condolences to Matt and all of Cynthia's family. I knew Cynthia for many years, and always had deep admiration the way she cared for Matt, and for all of us at Gretchen Everhart and WAVE. You have all been in my prayers. She will be so missed at all the get togethers and activities. Rachel always loved seeing Cynthia, and made sure to share a hug. Matt, your mom loved you more than anything in the world, she will be watching over you.

Although not actually related to Cynthia, I felt related through our common last name and the fact that we progressed together through school, beginning I believe with kindergarten at Mrs. Vances place. She always had a bright smile and I enjoyed our visit during our 50th HS reunion in 2017. We were FB friends and I know how much she loved Matt. God bless you, Cynthia

I got to know Cynthia as a colleague at the State Library. She had a warm, sincere smile and positive attitude. It's an understatement to say that she was a loving mother to Matthew. I still recall some wonderful conversations we had about parenthood. Those were gifts of her time and self that have stayed with me. My condolences to all who knew and loved Cynthia. May the good memories comfort us now and bring us many reasons to smile in the future.

So sad to hear this. I’ve known Cynthia for a very long time. She was/is such a sweet soul who loved her son Matthew dearly and made his life as full as she possibly could. Hugs to the family.

Cynthia and I met when we were about aged 6, and were both taking piano lessons from Miss Carolyn Oxford . We met again as 7th graders at Cobb, and continued our friendship at Leon. Although we only saw each other infrequently after high school, I was always impressed with her immediate warmth, and her ever-present smile and positivity. She was a good person indeed.
