Evelyn Reed

Evelyn Reed, 82, of Tallahassee passed away Sunday, October 22, 2015, at Big Bend Hospice.

Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. TODAY at Miracle Deliverance Church, 122 Roberts-Williams Rd, Crawfordville, FL. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive #2 P.B. Church Cemetery.

She was born on December 31, 1932 in Lowndes County, GA, to the late Willie C. and Eloise McCormick Reed. She graduated from Mt. Zion High School. She was a retired self-employed domestic worker.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Stanley Reed, Sr. (Linda) of Kansas City, Kansas and Earnest Reed, Sr. (Shirley) of Tallahassee, Florida; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; two sisters, Velma Matchett and Sallie Brinkley (Thomas) both of Valdosta sister-in-law, Ann Byrd of Woodstock, Georgia; special friends, Mr. and Mrs. George Arvanitis, Jessie Harrington, Barbara Warren of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Willie C. Reed, mother, Eloise McCormick Reed, two brothers, Willie C. Reed, Jr., Clarence Reed, and sister Rosa Lee Collier.

The Arvanitis Family misses Evelyn very much. We have such fond memories. She will always be in our hearts and prayers.
