I was a friend of Rosemary's when I was a child . My parents, Eva and Morris Lammers, became good friends with Maxine and F J and we spent many good times with them, and Hilda, their collie. We always spent the evening with them the night the Wizard of Oz was on tv.
I remember FJ smoking his pipe and always friendly. Maxine and Rosemary, I am so sad for you. My mom, Eva, passed away May 14th 2010, with her 2 daughters and sister,Reva, at her side. At home, as she wished. I will never know a sweeter person. I miss her so much and think of her every day. I am traveling through Florida with my husband and was trying to look you up. If I don't reach you by phone, my number is 501-804-3717, please call. Love,
Lesa Lammers

Dr. King was a wonderfully patient man. He seemed to be able to find 100’s of ways to explain things over and over again until we finally got it. After I became a professor, I often thought of him when I got frustrated and even today I just try to model his example. I am sure much of his success and personality can be attributed to his loving family and support team. May God rest his soul and continue to bless his family.

FJ King was a superb professor and a kind person. He used wit to get his points across, and had an infectious laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He will be missed!

FJ was my major professor and director of my dissertation forty-six years ago. I remember clearly his kindness, patience and wise guidance that I and all his other students experienced. May God comfort and bring peace to his family.
