Mark, Mark, James and Josh,

May God comfort you during this time. I am comforted by my fond memories of being your neighbor on Medart Dr. My fondest memory is that I struggled to learn to ride a bike without training wheels. Ms. Fran told me that she would buy me an Icee, if I would learn to ride that bike. She was true to her word and it didn't take me long to take her up on that offer. I thank her and you for some wonderful memories.

Dear Mark and Family

I was deeply saddened to learn about Fran. We started our teaching careers together in Daytona Beach, and I was in your wedding. She was always special to me as a friend and sorority sister. May the grace and love of God get you through this difficult time.

Although we only saw Fran once a year at “The Cookout”, we have always been impressed by her warmth, friendliness and her ability to manage such a crew as the Trafton boys. Our sympathies to you all.

Dear Trafton Family,

My heart and prays go out to you all in this so very sad time for all of us. I will truly miss Dear Fran and her smile. She was so kind hearted and always willing to help whenever I would call her to sub. There will never be another substitute to show so much love and care for the students here at Gretchen Everhart. I consider Fran as one of a kind that God loaned to us for a short time, before he called her to sub in Heaven forever.

My memories of Fran with her bright smile will never fade away. She was a good sweet person.

May God be with you all.

When I was four years old, my mom asked me to take a hairdryer over to Fran. I wasn’t sure who “Fran” was. I quickly discovered that Fran was our next door neighbor, the person I knew as “Mrs. Trafton”. That was 27 years ago. Over the years, Fran and the rest of the Trafton clan have become family to us. The last time I was with Fran was last football season. We were sitting on coolers in the back of my dad’s truck, chatting and drinking orange daiquiris. We are all lucky to have wonderful memories of Fran; keep her memories alive. Fran, we will all miss you!!!!

My heart goes out to Fran’s family at this difficult time. Love, Michelle.

With great sadness on the 1st anniversary of my mother's death I learn of the death of a wonderful friend, Fran. How could this happen to someone so young?

Fran substituted for me many times during my teaching career at Gretchen Everhart where we became friends. She was always ready to help when and where ever she was needed. She was a warm, caring, compassionate person who was always interested in other's lives.

Sadly our town has lost another earthy angel who gave much of herself to others. She now joins other Everhart angels who previously made that transition into heaven--Ken,Sydney.

We never know why death comes and takes our loved ones. We just have to trust in the Lord.

My heart goes out to you-- Mark, your sons and their wives; and the grandchildren. Fran shared her love and pride of all of you! May the Lord surround you with his love and comfort you.

Sincerely,

Jill Elmore

Never could a kid have had a better "second mom" than I had with Mrs. Trafton, and I know that dozens of other people feel the same way. She was always wonderful and cheerful, even when all of us boys would continue doing whatever she had told us 100 times to stop doing, and she will always have a spot in my fondest memories of those years. Our prayers are with her family, and everyone she touched in her life is better off for it. She will be missed, but she will always be remembered.
