To Elizabeth and the rest of the family, I was so sorry to hear of Dr. Bedell's passing. I remember him during my years at the BOR as an incredibly kind gentlemen, who took time with all the employees. He was the genuine article and led a wonderful life. I am sure you will all miss him so very much.

Dear Bedell family,
"Dr. B" was my first real boss at the University Press of Florida and I am sorry to hear of his passing. He taught me a lot about graciousness, honesty, and tact. He was truly the epitome of a southern gentleman. I wish you all the peace and comfort that he exuded.

Liz and family,
Dorothy and I offer our thoughts and prayers at this time of loss and sadness. It was a privilege to have known and worked with George, a gentleman and intellectual with humility and humor who embodied all the best of what we can and should be.
He enriched our lives, and we will miss him.
