Deacon Ike Gilliam

Deacon Ike Gilliam, 95, died on August 21, 2017.

Funeral service will be Saturday, August 26, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at Mt. Pleasant P.B. Church -Thomasville Road with burial at Lake Hall Cemetery.

Survivors include his son, Aron Gilliam; daughters, Bessie L. Gavin, Susie M. Gilliam, Amelia Jackson, Betty Russ (Vandy), Pansy G. Herring (Dr. Clarence), Carrie J. Jefferson, 25 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Two daughters preceded him in death.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Uncle Cooney.

Once again the Family chain is broken and nothing seems the same. But as God takes us one by one the chain will link again. I can just see uncle Cooney now rejoicing and singing with the Heavenly Angels.
