Jacob Manousakis Obituary

Jacob Manousakis Jacob Manousakis, 8, a student at DeSoto Trail Elementary School, died Saturday, March 20, 2004, in North Carolina. He is survived by his parents, Jitka Lesakova-Manousakis and Efstratios Manousakis. A Mass will be at 11 a.m. EST Friday at Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church, with burial at Oakland Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. EST Thursday, with a Trisagion at 7 p.m. EST, at Bevis Funeral Home (385-2193). He was a native and lifelong resident of Tallahassee. He was an amazingly smart, loving and energetic boy. Jacob liked playing soccer in the Top of Florida League, riding his bike in his neighborhood and fishing near the bridge on St. George Island. Full of happiness, he enjoyed telling jokes and even started learning magic tricks. Jacob was good in math and like most boys his age, didn't like doing homework. He spent quite a bit of time playing on his computer and enjoyed traveling. He wanted to be a hockey player and an artist. Other survivors include his paternal grandparents, Persephone and Stavros Manousakis and maternal grandparents, Josef Lesak and Krista Lesakova.

Jacob was a very energetic and loving boy. We live two doors down and saw him playing with all of the children on the block. He loved to ride his bike along with us when we took our dogs out for walk. He loved to play with our dogs and tell us jokes and talk about his fishing trips. He will be missed very much. My his soul be eternal. Our thoughts and prayers our with his family.
